the pursuit of quality in a fleeting life

another one bites the dust

Soreness, exhaustion, and extreme elation are some of the feelings that reside after the arduous running of the 25th ICR Long Beach Half Marathon yesterday.  It was a very tough journey, but the perseverance to excel and dedication to fitness helped me to finish even better than in February with a time of 2 hours and 3 minutes (a whopping 3 minutes better than Surf City).  It was so great to see thousands of people come together for a simple and peaceful mission of just having fun, pushing their bodies, and testing their endurance.  For a very early afternoon, nothing else matters; no recession, no wars, no differences.  Just running and helping each other make it to the finish line.

If only the world would just stop and hit the pavement – together.

Also, THANK YOU Patty for taking the awesome pictures!!!
